This time it is the video platform they purchased called Maven Networks. Even before the latest reports (NewTeeVee reports on Yahoo shutting down its video publishing platform ), when you type the company’s URL (www.maven.net), it redirects to http://advertising.yahoo.com/video/ which has nothing to do with video platforms and is strictly about video advertising on Yahoo.

This has come at an interesting time given the explosive growth in video ranging from small organizations to the largest media companies in the world. We’re seeing dramatic month over month growth in usage. However, it isn’t surprising as new Yahoo CEO Carol Bartz recently hired a new CFO who is known for his continuous cutting of “non-core” businesses.

Fortunately, video platforms are all we do and thus is our core. For Maven Networks customers, we are offering a program to ensure they can not only continue to offer their video content to their customers but also give them a chance to upgrade their capabilities. Delve Networks was on hand yesterday at the inaugural Onfronts in New York checking out what some of the best online video studios have in store for the rest of 2009 and 2010.  There were a lot of really impressive efforts being showcased, so make sure to head to the Onfronts site to watch through the various sizzle reels. As the official video platform of Onfronts, Delve delivers each clip through its player.  It’s awesome being able to provide viewers with such innovative content; it truly is next-generation content paired with next-generation delivery.
